The Toothless Monster & Special Me Me Tribute

Well, I just wanted to show some pictures of Gianluca's mouth! Here is a self-taken picture that he's very proud of before he lost his teeth...

I know it's scary! He looks like a gremlin! Well a few days later (after Thanksgiving) his tooth was so wiggly that it was barely hanging on. He was afraid for me to pull it, but I finally convinced him (by saying I convinced him I mean that I wrestled him down and yanked it out!) and voila, there was a tiny tooth in my hand. He was so proud he ran around showing Los Abu's and Tio Christian. And anyone one he meets, gets to see his missing teeth and is also informed of his upcoming birthday. The big 6 years! Here are some after shots.

A few weeks later, he lost his second bottom tooth... yes wrestling me again, while trying to bite my arm. It's a new wrestling move of his. He's got talent, what can I say! Coincidentally, his favorite Christmas song this year is the Chipmunks rendition of "All I Want for Christmas is my Two Front Teeth". Gotta love this kid!

Farewell Me Me!

Well, it's happened. Allegra has finally given up her "me me". That is what she and Gianluca both called their binkies. Right before Christmas we went out on a date and she had lost it in her room. I said, "Maybe you can be a big girl now and not use one anymore. Do you really need it?" And Allegra said she didn't need it anymore. I was shocked! She did amazing without it. For a couple weeks she would say she wanted to go to the me me store and buy a new one, but we never did. Little does she know I still have it in my underwear drawer. Poor thing. She's had the same one ever since she was a baby and it is hanging on by a thread. There's no suction or anything to it. It was time!
P.S. Don't forget to push pause on my music on the left hand side so you can hear the tribute music! It's perfect.

That's an adorable way to say farewell to the binkie Sid! It almost makes me wish my kids EVER took a binkie. :) Instead my kids never shut up & talk my ears off. Hmm..wonder where they got that from.

Am I the only one that thinks it is SOOO sad?! But, that is awesome that she did it on her own. I love binkies. Bode is still going strong with his. He even was desperate enough to take a pink one when we lost his. We've got another year until Kindergarten, right?
